First few days were a bit peculiar. Still felt a bit uncomfy and
while the jet lag of flying to the west is suppose to be mild, I needed
few naps per dayto keep me going.
On the first day I walked the city quite alot, and loved it as it is very quite and tranquil. Main exhibition in the city is the Museum related to Incas culture and especially children sacrifice. The center piece is a child mummy which is swapped once every 6 months (they have 3 in overall)
Second day, I went to San Lorenzo, a small village around 20 minutes on the bus which was suppose to have a nice park.
It was indeed a weird experience on the bus for the first time as you see so many unfamiliar faces that keeps you alerted.
I reached there and was adviced from the touristic office for a horse riding which is very easy for a begginer. Made contact with the guy who owned the horses, agreed a price and off we go.
Three hours exploring the park with uphills and downhills until reach the peak. Great experience for second day. They also had some wild animals... and Pumas.
He seemed so cool when I asked him if they are actually Pumas (big cats) that I supposed he knew how to deal with them, or hope he didnt have to. Never the less, didnt see any puma, only some wildhorses and cows.
Third day, made my arrangements for leaving, was a rainy day mainly so I spend it reading a book. In the afternoon I went to the market which I really like as it is a what you expect to see in a market. A little bit dodgy I must admit as so many people and tight corridors they could steal things fairly easy, anyhow, all good enjoyed a cheap large lunch return to the hostel.
On my return I realize I had a new roomie, a girl from london and after hanging out in the room for a bit we decided to go on foot at the top of the hill nearby, in the rain. It was misty with not much view but enjoyed the walk. We took the cable-car down which was the first one in my life.
Had an early sleep as my bus for cafayate was leaving early in the Morning.
